About the Role

As a multi-faceted cost controller and business partner, are you looking for new challenges to grow personally in a start-up environment? In this position, you will have an exceptional and exciting opportunity to join iptiQ’s cost management team in charge of the day-to-day financial controlling, such as forecasting, planning, reporting, analytics, and commentaries for iptiQ Americas. You will join a diverse team committed to delivering services to iptiQ’s wide variety of clients. We put the consumer experience at the heart of everything we do. Your direct reporting line will be to the Head Cost Management, iptiQ within the Global FP&A function. You will have a very close working setup with the Americas FP&A Head and CFO.

As part of this role, you will:
Capture and control all actual, forecasted and planning expense financial activities and transactions.Ensure the accurate and timely completion of quarterly and annual close cycles.Oversee the accounting of all expense related financial transactions generated ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting regulations.Be responsible for the aggregation, structuring, analysis and commentary of expense information for review with the Americas FP&A team and the Americas CFO.Collaborate effectively cross-functionally to deliver high quality outputs.Be a problem solver: analyze issues, identify root causes, propose solutions, and consistently track issue resolution.Respond and deliver ad-hoc requests to provide key insights for management into the expense base and help steer decision making capabilities

You will also:
Support the Financial reporting team in providing accounting information such as financial statements, footnote schedules, regulatory reports and other management reports.Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns.Evaluate, recommend, and implement solutions to improve efficiency and increase quality.
About You

You should have at least 4 years of experience in the insurance accounting field.Bachelor’s degree (Accounting or Finance) is required. Accounting accreditation (CA, CPA, CIMA) or advanced degree in Accounting is preferred.
You possess a broad financial acumen, familiarity with the accounting for expenses and expense allocations as well as a strong control orientation. In addition, you should be able to demonstrate a fair level of business acumen when it comes to the primary insurance industryStrong understanding of statutory, GAAP and IFRS expense accounting principles/requirements.You must be comfortable working within a highly collaborative broader functional team and be willing to be flexible (to the extent necessary) with working hours and overall working arrangement to manage the time zone difference between Americas and EuropeMust demonstrate the ability to execute thoroughly in a fast-paced work environment, adapting quickly to changing conditions to achieve results.You have strong presentation skills, and you are able to communicate complex issues in a clear and concise fashionYou are passionate about delivering costumer value and seamless customer experience. You are detail oriented and take pride in delivering high quality outputYou can act not only as a trusted and valued partner to the business, but also a challenger and “see through” the numbers to the broader implications that are meaningful for iptiQProven PC skills including Microsoft Office (especially Excel), SAP and preferably PowerBiExcellent command of the English language.Experience in business partnering with various stakeholders for budget reviews

The minimum gross monthly base salary for this role is 1700 EUR full time. Our final offer to you will be set up fairly, considering the skills and experience that you bring to the Swiss Re Group. You can look forward to extra rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
