Job Description : PURPOSE: The position will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer, in management accounting, in establishing and reviewing financial systems & controls, and in managing reporting & compliancesLOCATION: BangaloreJob Responsibilities1. Budgets & financial structuring (30%)Understand current budget structures and systemsReview and apply global best practices in financial management and budgetingCreate 5 year, 3 year and 1 year budgets for the organizationPrepare financing plans for the budgets2. Accounting Controls, Processes & Vendor Management (20%)Review, create and own all internal accounting processes and protocolsManage accounting workflows with senior managers and accountantsCash flow managementEnsure full compliance with budgetsOnboard new vendors, manage banking partners3. Management Information Systems (MIS) (20%)Review and manage formats for monthly, quarterly and annual information systemsCoordinate with Accounts team to ensure timely generation of MISPresent MIS to senior management with recommendations4. Partner reporting (15%)Prepare grant requests, invoices, utilisation statements etc.Ensure periodic financial reporting to donorsParticipate in budget and utilisation discussions with partners5. Compliance and Disclosures (15%)Ensure monthly compliances with statutory paymentsWork with accountants and auditors in audit and preparation of yearly financial statementsWork with accountants and auditors to ensure compliance with all non-profit regulations and industry good governance practisesEXPERIENCE:Postgraduate degree in Finance or Commerce, with CA qualification preferred.Minimum 5 – 7 years of work experience in the Finance domain, preferably in the development sector, especially budgets, MIS, donor reporting Very strong knowledge of applications like ExcelWorking knowledge of Tally beneficialSELECTION PROCESS:CV and covering letterTelephone interviewAssignment/sPersonal interviewORGANIZATION OVERVIEW:Mentor Together is an award-winning non-profit organization that has pioneered the youth mentoring movement in India.
