Job Description : Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the successful candidate will be an experienced Chartered Accountant who will meaningfully contribute and help build and improve the future of Flahmingo’s finance and accounting function. We’re excited to build our team with people who feel comfortable taking risks and executing big ideas.If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!What You’ll Be Doing- Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions- Managing internal monthly reporting requirements including preparing financial statements, financial projections, key metrics, etc.- Managing the annual audit and working directly with Flahmingo’s auditor- Ensuring financial statements are in compliance with IFRS, including updating the notes to the financial statements and ensuring the financial statements include all required IFRS disclosures, including, but not limited to, IFRS 9 (financial instruments), IFRS 2 (share-based payment), IFRS 16 (leases)- Preparing, reviewing, and approving journal entries- Ensuring Flahmingo’s cap table is kept up-to-date- Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes- Evaluating accounting and internal control systems- Overseeing regulatory reporting including tax planning (including SR&ED) and compliance- From time to time, work on projects including implementation of new systems, and process improvementWhat We Are Looking For- Has 7+ years accounting experience with Chartered Accountant (CA) designation- Experience managing the accounting function and team- Expertise in Quickbooks online and has strong Excel skills- Very detailed oriented- Has ability to work independently with minimal supervisions- Passionate about startups and fintech- Ability to work under pressure in an early-stage company with rapidly evolving priorities while meeting hard deadlines- Technical experience with IFRS standards is an asset- Startup experience is an asset- Fluent in EnglishDeadline to apply: Mar 15, 2022About FlahmingoFlahmingo is a Canadian commission-free fractional investment app, changing the way Canadians invest.
