Job Description : Robert Half is currently looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team for a long-term contract / temporary opportunity. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This opportunity is located in the Boston, Massachusetts area and will offer a great you great experience along with attractive compensation. What you get to do every single day
Manage monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Review financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)
Ad-hoc projects as required
Realize compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners
Arrange monthly consolidated P& L and balance sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Constantly improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Work with internal and external auditors to coordinate quarterly reviews and testing
Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations
Take part in various department-wide initiatives
Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills
Exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Competence with financial data analysis and report generation that is prompt and accurate
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
Solid understanding of navigating basic office equipment and protocols
Expertise in financial reporting
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
Demonstrated skills in interacting effectively, both verbally and in writing, with functional managers
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
