Job Description:
The Manager, Internal Audit will report to the Senior Director, Internal Audit. As a key member of the Internal Audit team, the role will perform and oversee compliance, financial, IT, and operational reviews. From an internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) perspective, the role will assess the design, adequacy, and operating effectiveness of the SSR controls framework. The Manager, Internal Audit will also assist the Senior Director with the company’s Enterprise Risk Management initiatives.
The Day to Day
As the SSR Internal Audit team will be a small team, this is a hands-on manager role that will oversee two direct reports and outside consulting firms. Given the Internal Audit function outside of SOX compliance is new to the organization, the Manager, Internal Audit will help with the development of the new audit processes and bringing the function to the next level of maturity.
Develop and maintain productive relationships with management at all levels of the organization
Model the company’s values and demonstrate the highest ethical standards
Conduct and oversee audit projects across various disciplines
Perform critical project management duties in the planning, scheduling, coordinating, reviewing, and reporting of all audit activities, including assigning and supervising the daily activity and work of other auditors
Provide timely constructive feedback to other auditors to enhance their development
Identify opportunities for process and control enhancements to further mitigate risks, including fraud risks
Perform risk assessments, design audit procedures, review testing, and evaluate results
Support team in preparation of audit workpapers
Present the respective audit findings and relevant recommendations to management
Perform audit investigations, as directed by the Senior Director, some of which may be performed under Privilege
Review all internal controls documentation, including narratives, flowcharts, and risk control matrices
Oversee and perform internal controls walkthroughs and testing
Assist with follow-up on action plans
Support Senior Director in conducting assessments and compiling results for reporting to senior/executive/board level management

The successful candidate will be a high-performance driven individual with a track record of continuous improvement. The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a manager and a team member.
5-8 years in experience in audit
Prior supervisory experience
Experience in leading audit reviews with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work towards strict deadlines
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong written communication skills, including writing concise audit reports with audit findings and recommendations
Enhanced level of understanding of the IIA Standards
Excellent verbal communication skills, including interviewing skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA, CIA, or CISA designation
Ability to travel internationally
Preferred/Nice to Have
Spanish or Turkish language skills
For applicants residing in CO, the salary range for this role is from $108,000 to $155,000
