The Digital Experience Solution Engineering team is an innovative group of professionals at the heart of the Marketing Cloud’s industry leading solutions across experience to join as either Principal/Lead/Senior Solution Engineers. This versatile team helps Salesforce customers and prospects develop and implement strategies to take their digital marketing efforts to an entirely new level. Through collaboration with the customer, the Marketing Cloud Products team, Professional Services and the Solutions Engineers develop unique solutions that help our customers connect with their customers in new ways. The SE world is a multifaceted, ever changing environment where expertise in design, business consulting and technology is leveraged every day to drive innovation.

A Solution Engineer at Salesforce Digital Experience team plays a pivotal role in aligning innovative digital marketing strategies to technology solutions within key strategic accounts. This role focuses on partnering with clients and collaborating with internal team members and C-level client contacts to drive consensus on multi-product technology solutions across the various Salesforce product lines. Solutions Engineers work on a wide array of assignments including business development, operations and IT strategies, as well as executive level product demonstrations. This person must assume the role of trusted advisor for driving innovative solutions forward while also improving business performance. The Solutions Engineer focuses primarily in these three areas:

Business Problem Solving: Take ambiguous and complex business problems and using research and business assessment capabilities, define the problem, drive innovative ideas, define the opportunity set, and recommend actionable next steps. Innovation Management: Bring rigor to a client’s decision making process by presenting and evaluating solution options, and driving consensus among key stakeholders. In some instances, we help our clients develop new decision frameworks and governance processes that continue to deliver value far beyond a particular engagement. Connect Experiences: Demonstrate through software demos and rapid prototyping how connected experiences come to life with The Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Commerce Cloud. This includes the delivery of executive level software demonstrations, construction of future state customer journey strategies, and developing long term IT roadmaps. “Solutioning” is fundamental to the Digital Specialist SE role. It is important to realize that a component of the responsibilities will include assisting the customer, Account Executive and Professional Services team with the discovery, analysis and ultimately the recommendation of strategic solutions for the customer by delivering visionary pitches based in live product demonstrations to validate. These Solutions will leverage the Digital Experience technology to address the core marketing challenges and objectives that are uniquely identified for each customer.

Impact and Responsibilities:
Lead complex multi-cloud Digital Transformation pursuits from a Solutioning perspective
To develop and deliver innovative custom solutions, including solution concepts to key decision makers to address their business issues using a consultative approach
Coordinate and lead the entire solution cycle through close collaboration with other impactful teams.
Industry experience, incorporating and developing a point of view based on Salesforce’s solutions.
To fully understand and clearly articulate the benefits of Salesforce to customers at all levels, examples include; IT and Business managers and “C” level executives.
Present compelling Salesforce & partner solutions while supporting relationships with customers and partners.
Display initiative, self motivation and deliver high quality results along with meeting all expectations for both internal and external customers.

Requirements
A proven track record of success – at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Experience in B2C industries like Retail, CPG and/or Financial Services
Minimum 3+ years in B2B Marketing Automation
Understanding of B2B marketing dynamics compared to B2C marketing, competitive landscape and industry trends
Excellent presentation skills, comfortable presenting to a crowd of a thousand, a CMO, or two specialists
Familiar with running discovery workshops and applying design thinking techniques.
Able to switch quickly between different modes of thinking and tasks
Self-starter that is highly creative and able to manage and prioritise effectively.
Able to work with sales team to understand and present a business case to clients – articulating a technical solution, highlighting the business benefits to the customer in a language they understand
Technical understanding of data driven solutions and ability to do high-level architecture .
Have deep technical expertise in 2 or more areas of the following domains (digital marketing, advertising, commerce, BI & Analytics, Web analytics, CRM, CMS)
BE/BTech with MBA, preferred or equivalent work experience with demonstrated proficiency

It would be phenomenal if…
You have Salesforce Certifications (B2C Marketing Cloud offerings)
B2B Marketing Automation platform experience (Pardot, Eloqua, Hubspot, Marketo, Silverpop, Act-On, Infusionsoft, etc)
ECommerce and DTC business models and technology platforms
Exposure to multi functional solutions such as Marketing + Commerce, Marketing + Customer Service
