Job Description : As a Sr Accountant with ESG you will be working directly with ESG clients either at their site or in the office. You will take direct responsibility of communicating with a client regarding their transactional accounting items.ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:For ESG Clients – duties may vary by client:Accounts Receivable:Create invoices using QuickBooks (or other client software)Review the AR aging to ensure that there are no long-outstanding invoicesSupport client with follow up on with customers on outstanding invoicesAccounts Payable:Process AP invoicesReview employee expense reports for proper classification and paymentPrepare checks for clientGeneral Ledger / Assist with month-end close process, which includes:Preparation of journal entries, accrualsMonth-end account reconciliationsBank and credit card account reconciliationsReporting and account analysis:Manage the monthly close process to produce timely, accurate, and valid financial informationReview or prepare financial statements and supporting reconciliations, analysis and work papersReview or prepare management reporting packages, budgets and forecastsAudit and statutory support:Prepare supporting schedules for financial reviews and annual auditPrepare excise and property tax filingsPayroll Processing:Compile and update employee information in payroll systemProcess payroll as needed by clients in payroll systemProvide support to clients as needed for special payroll items, quarterly reporting needs and W-2 processingFor ESG:Direct initial assessments, implementations, and onboarding of new clientsDeliver excellent customer service to foster an environment of long-term relationshipsScheduling time with client to complete tasksOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS: Education, Licenses/Certifications and Work Experience:Associates degree in Accounting (or equivalent experience)BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting – preferredStrong understanding or certification of QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.Experience with other accounting software and programs is preferred but not requiredExperience with payroll processing is preferred but not requiredAnalytical and problem-solving skills, highly detail-oriented and organizedAbility to develop and maintain productive working relationshipsAbility to identify and effectively communicate accounting matters to appropriate staffAbility to identify performance improvement opportunitiesAbility to meet a constant stream of deadlinesProven ability to work both independently and collaborativelyStrong understanding of and experience utilizing Windows operating system and software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)Job Type: Full-timePay: $55,000.00 – $70,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceDisability insuranceFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceWork from homePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Monday to FridayCOVID-19 considerations:For COVID restrictions, we respect the requests of our clients which may include wearing masks onsite.Application Question(s):What is your salary requirement?Education:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:QuickBooks: 1 year (Preferred)Non-profit accounting: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: Multiple Locations
