Job Description : Join our dynamic team with a rewarding company! National Frozen Foods Corporation in Renton, WA, is an industry leader, bringing quality Northwest produce to the nation since 1912.The primary role is to be responsible for the general ledger activities, assist with month end close, monthly operating report and balance sheet reconciliation, including financial report analysis of cost and overhead data, develop and maintain cost and overhead data reports. Assist with the quarterly and annual financial reporting, contractual payment reconciliation, processing refunds, sales and cost analysis, budget variances, review of accounts payables, completing schedules for audit and tax work papers and coordinate financial reporting to Corporate Accounting. Serves as the first point of contact for inventory and warehouse accounting issues. The position may include additional duties to assist in the optimization of accounting functions. Position works in collaboration with various departments and the accounting team.Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible for general ledger activities, assist in month end close, monthly operating report and balance sheet reconciliation, including financial report analysis of cost and overhead data, develop and maintain cost and overhead data reports.Responsible for fixed asset accounting, additions, disposals, and depreciation in fixed asset system (Sage).Assist with the quarterly and annual financial reporting, contractual payment reconciliation, sales and cost analysis, budget variances, review of accounts payables, completing schedules for audit and tax work papers and coordinate financial reporting to Corporate Accounting. ·Responsible for accuracy of product inventory control. Reviews outside cold storage warehouse inventory levels on a daily/weekly basis and takes action to reconcile, in order to find ways to provide our products more efficiently.Coordinate inventory count with warehouse teams, resolve any issues.Track Brokerage, Freight Billing/Reconciliations and research/resolve discrepancies. ·Perform bank account reconciliations, including identifying, researching and reconciling any discrepancies. ·Regularly maintains detailed reconciliations of all Balance Sheet accountsPrepare documentation for annual external audits ·Assist in implementation of appropriate internal accounting control policies and procedures. Conduct periodic review to ensure compliance. ·Develop expertise in Accounting systems and interfaces, which involves data entry and GL coding into company ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics) ·Maximize efficiencies, organize work processes and procedures, and automate procedures through system improvements ·Collaborate with other departments for issue resolutionQualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required3+ years Accounting and/or Financial Reporting experience in a manufacturing or processing environment; providing reconciliations, month close, budget variance review, financial reporting, and participation in audit reporting.Ability to interpret, understand, implement and take action on all accounting related issues and technical issues and have a comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (e.g., v-lookup, pivot tables, etc.) including accurate data entry; proficient in MSWord and Outlook.Excellent oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational, time management and analytical skills; ability to work with minimal supervision, using independent judgment.Ability to learn quickly, reprioritize to keep up with a dynamically changing company and consistently initiate problem resolution actionsKnowledge of Microsoft Dynamics or Sage ERP systems, Sequel a plus.Ability to work with peer groups to ensure that the needs of the accounting department and plant contacts are being met; disseminate information to vendors in a timely and accurate mannerExperience in the Food or Manufacturing Industry a plus.Details: Full time, Exempt position.All Job Offers are contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment drug test with negative results.National Frozen Foods Corporation offers a comprehensive benefits and compensation package.
