The role, responsibilities, basic/preferred job requirements, and certification requirements are specified below: Role: Senior Cost AccountantDescription of Work: ·····We are seeking a seasoned Senior Cost Accountant to provide cost estimating and financial management support, including all activities, which occur during the life cycle of an information technology application or system. Responsibilities–Conducts investment analyses or other complex operational analysesProvides expertise and support in conducting a full range of investment analyses activities, including market surveys, cost analyses, benefits analyses, risk analyses, economic analyses, requirements definitions, schedule development, and tradeoff studiesSupports architecture efforts including economic analyses of architecture alternatives, architecture issues resolutions, and affordability analysesConducts analytical studies involving complex technical analyses, schedule constraints, and system benefits and system cost factorsIdentifies cost accounting or financial problems and recommends solutions. Presents plans, analyses, and other advice within functional areas.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Economics, Business, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. A Master’s degree and CPA are preferredA minimum of eight (8) years relevant experience as a cost analyst or involved in analysis in business-related subject areas such as accounting, finance or economicsAt least five (5) years of experience in financial cost accounting with demonstrated success in analyzing information systemsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent customer relationship management skillsExcellent problem-solving skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutionsExcellent time-management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesExercises discretion and good judgement in all things, especially regarding sensitive or confidential mattersExtremely proficient in Microsoft Office SuiteExceptional organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environmentAbility to work independently as well as collaborativelyAbility to establish and maintain effective and positive working relationships with all staff and visitors4A Consulting, LLC is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
