Team and Position Summary:

Accounts Payable – FinTech: This team builds resilient and scalable technologies which enable Walmart to pay its suppliers and have its shelves, across half of the globe, replenished on time. Catering to the suppliers from over hundred countries, this team handles the account payable capabilities for geographies with its own unique cultural, economic, social, legal and political institutions and practices. This team has the best in class matching engine that provides flexibility to Walmart’s diverse supplier base and ensures the timely and accurate processing of our payments to them.

Our team is responsible for the design, development, and transformation of large-scale transaction processing applications being built across a wide array of technology stacks. We focus on the processing of critical financial data through files and streams. Our team has embarked on transformational journey of migrating all of our proprietary technology stack to an elastic, scalable and cloud native next generation platform.

Position Responsibilities:
Through this role you will have an opportunity to build large scale data processing applications for a Fortune One company that basically sets the industry standards for how the supplier claims should be validated and processed.
You will be involved in design, development, support and documentation of existing or new capabilities in a sophisticated eco system evolved over four decades.
You will be able to hone your skills in building, testing and deploying solutions at scale, impacting the suppliers and associates of Walmart worldwide.
You will get the opportunity to interact with high calibre Walmart engineering teams across geographies to leverage expertise and contribute to the tech community.
You will be working closely with the Tech Leads/Architects and cross functional teams and follow practices for the delivery of solutions meeting QCD (Quality, Cost and Delivery) within the established architectural guidelines.
You will participate in the hiring activities and support us in building teams. You will also continuously up skill yourself in newer technologies and share your knowledge across the teams. As a senior developer within the team, you will take up the role of a playing coach for other developers.
You will Interact closely with business owners, product specialists and technical teams both within India and across the globe.

Position Requirements:

Minimum qualifications:
B.Tech. / B.E. / M.Tech. / M.S. with Computer Science as part of the curriculum.
8+ years of experience in design and development of highly-scalable distributed applications and UI development in product based companies or R&D divisions.
Strong computer science fundamentals covering relational databases, object oriented programming, data structures and algorithms.
4+ years of hands on experience in any one Object Oriented Programming languages, an UI framework (like React), a microservice based web framework (like Spring Boot), Java Script, HTML and CSS.
CI/CD development environments/tools: Git, Maven, Jenkins, Docker or Azure DevOps.
Thorough understanding of agile methodologies and prior experience in delivering features through sprints.
Strong desire to drive change, and ability to adapt to change quickly. Willingness to learn new and emerging technologies.
Should have demonstrated end-to-end ownership in the development, design and implementation of at least one project in the past.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Additional Qualifications:
Knowledge in cloud infrastructure, such as Open Stack, Azure, GCP, or AWS will be an added advantage
Prior experience in retail domain and the knowledge of invoice processing will enable the candidate to get engaged with our projects and people quicker.
Ability to understand complex technical concepts and present it to a wider audience.
Past evidences of candidate’s contributions towards organisation wide forums.
