Position :

Job Description : Support North America operations of Columbia Threadneedle Investments (CTI) with a core responsibility to direct and control the activities of the allocated team, based out of Noida (India). The individual is also required to manage key stakeholder relationships and lead and drive initiatives associated with product changes, product launches and regulatory changes through the teams and at times beyond direct team responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Operational: Execute/ Provide review of operations for various product structures (single and multiple class, multi-managed, collective, proprietary life funds and sub accounts, non proprietary fund, institutional/portfolio) to ensure accuracy of daily NAV/AUV. Monitor and provide guidance to ensure special project/ change management activities are conducted in a way that the team is able to seamlessly assimilate new products, implement regulatory change and enhance systems/ new procedures incl. process centric initiatives. Ensure steps to mitigate financial/reputation risk.
Strategic and Individual leadership to staff: Create an environment in which staff thrive and perform to their full potential. Collaborate with business partners and senior leaders, towards strategic decisions. Guide staff in identifying career objectives and development plans. Identify individual goals/objectives and manage related performance. Ensure appropriate resource allocation of daily work in India. Support and provide on the job training/ coaching to staff and peers. Act as the point of escalation for queries from all internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.

Perform productivity analysis and review organizational structure on an ongoing basis – adjusting responsibility to optimize staffing levels. Further, work with staff to deal with changes resulting from new organization, systems, regulations, security types, turnover, job responsibility changes, and readiness to handle the increasing complexity of Global Operations and Investor Services. Monitor, track and report on performance against service level goals and benchmarks.

Required Qualifications

Chartered Accountant/MBA with 10-12 years of experience in Investment Accounting/Reconciliations with at least 4 years of Leadership experience
Ability to collaborate and work effectively with peers, staff and multiple business partners in a fluid and a matrix organization.
Ability to make decisions with limited information under strict daily time constraints.
Excellent problem solving and strong analytical abilities.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong knowledge of MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint, Python, Power BI, similar analytical tools
Well-developed influencing and negotiating skills with an ability to build and maintain relationships.
Experience in FIS Enterprise (InvestOne), Control Center, Frontier, TLM, Aladdin or similar business applications.
Prior proven experience and strong thought leadership in enhancing internal controls, process re-engineering and designing process & procedures.
Good business understanding of investment operations, investment accounting (ABOR/ IBOR) and reconciliations functions of mutual funds.
