New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to appoint an Emergency Response Coordinator, reporting to the Senior Director, ISG, and Program Manager, Return to Campus.
The Emergency Response Coordinator performs a wide range of emergency response focused administrative support for the Chief Administrative Business Officer. Duties include work that is often of a confidential nature. The Emergency Response Coordinator, is the first-tier support for emergency and public health related logistical requests and inquiries from NYUAD faculty, researchers, staff and extended affiliates (coordination with the Student Health Center and Student Affairs on student requests and inquiries is also expected).
Initial period of role will focus on Covid support response and coordination between supporting departments. The initial period administrative responsibilities include management and facilitation of the CABO Covid support response alias and the NYUAD Vaccination alias by responding to internal and external inquiries regarding Covid and vaccination response. The position involves staying updated on current Global, UAE, Abu Dhabi and NYU health and safety guidelines through self-directed research (or in consultation with the RTC Steering Committee, NYUAD Public Health, the NYUAD Student Health Center or the Incident Management Team) and it’s relation to all campus operational guidelines in order to assist NYUAD community in navigating the ongoing pandemic and emergency management. The role displays a comprehensive knowledge of public health and emergency response related operational services, policies and programs which requires extensive coordination and communication with stakeholders across multiple University functions.
The Emergency Response Coordinator establishes and monitors public health or emergency response related administrative operations for CABO (for the benefit of faculty, researchers, staff and extended affiliates) and prioritizes requests and inquiries in a timely fashion through coordination with supporting departments when and where needed.
Additional duties include administering the NYUAD Public Health portfolio group meetings with scheduling, meeting minute taking and following up on action items. Over time this may transfer to similar emergency response working group meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
Management of the CABO health and emergency response protocol
Primarily for non-student inquiries to support community on how to manage Covid response such as but not exclusive to, self-isolation, family or close contact quarantine, mandated testing, sharing of government or health authority circulars, etc. and can expand to future emergency response support needs
Management of the non-student vaccination alias (nyuad.vaccination@nyu.edu) to support community on vaccination related queries, such as but not exclusive for AlHosn, ICA, Seha, gov’t or health authority circulars etc. and referral of student vaccination inquiries with the Student Health Center for the student vaccination alias (immunization@nyu.edu)
Liaise with Human Resources, Academic Appointments, and ISG on vaccination/booster data and compliance follow up
Administrative management of the NYUAD Public Health group meetings (scheduling, meeting minutes, action item follow up, etc.) and future emergency response working group meetings
NYUAD public health and emergency response logistic related administrative management and coordination
Additional administrative support for CABO or the Student Health Center where/when needed if other accountabilities are not fully utilized
Qualifications:

Required Education:
Bachelors Degree
Preferred Education:
Bachelor’s Degree, or a relevant advanced Certification or Professional Qualification Diploma
Required Experience:
3 years of office administrative experience, preferably in a healthcare facility
Strong written and oral communications skills in English. A capacity to work collegially and flexibly
An ability to prioritize and to handle multiple initiatives on tight deadlines, organized work habits, consistent accuracy, and attentiveness to detail
Advanced business computing and internet skills
Professional maturity and judgment consistent with leadership-support responsibilities, including exceptional discretion, confident communications skills, and a capacity for resourceful initiative in a team context
Expertise with word processing, spreadsheet, database software, PowerPoint and Microsoft Office Suite
