Job Description : JOB TITLE: Student Recruitment Assistant (Only for UAE Nationals)COLLEGE/OFFICE: Office of Student RecruitmentThe following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel so qualified.SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS: To plan, implement, and recruit students (both Arabs and Non-Arabs) within UAE into AU various programs (including Masters Programs) and to maintain relationships with students.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops local and regional marketing materials regarding recruiting international students within the UAE.Handles initial inquiries from international students within the UAE and assess the status of potential students.Provides all the necessary information to our potential students and engage with them.Produces offer and acceptance letters for international and local students within the UAE.Develops presentation materials for target schools.Liaises closely with Accommodation Officer, advising students on accommodation details and providing necessary induction and orientation advice.Represents the University at Open Days and Applicant or Offer-holder Visit Days on campus and/or online.Provides ongoing personal support to international and local students, referring to student services where appropriate.Liaises with agents and external contacts, both locally and worldwide, welcome visitors, and actively promote the universityLiaises with our target schools and build and maintain a strong relationship with them.Monitors budgets, including processing payments.Takes a leadership role in developing and implementing the marketing and student recruitment strategy to support the University’s strategic objectives with emphasis on developing the use of the web, e-marketing, and new media aligned with the university’s marketing and web strategies.Assists in the production of publicity materials.Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or equivalent.Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the same field or in a similar nature position.Valid UAE driving license.KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Excellent presentation skills.Excellent Communications skills in both English and Arabic.Excellent IT and word-processing skillsAbility to multi-task and work under pressure without supervisionAbility to record data accurately and undertake data processing.Excellent knowledge of MS OfficeExcellent cross-culture awarenessFamiliarity with Customer Relationship Management and Content Management System softwareWilling to travel to several events inside and outside the UAE.Job Type: Full-time
