Job Description : Overview:

It is the primary responsibility of the Human Resources Representative is to assist with the employment process, all aspects of Compensation, provide daily reports and process Workers’ Compensation claims. In addition, conduct all relevant assigned duties such as data input, scanning, processing and provide excellent customer service. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.
Specific Job Functions:
Respond to internal and external Human Resources requests and provide assistance.Answer telephone calls and respond to applicant / employee questions or direct to appropriate department as needed and provide excellent customer service to allAssists with the employment process; application review, pre-employment drug screening, background checks, and E-verify.
Conduct new hire processing and verify data with candidate before entering into the Infinium system.Provide instructions to New-Hire if required documentation is missing at the time of New-Hire processingMake copies of employment eligibility documentation and any required work cardsInitiate and ensure completion of relative/cohabitant approvalsDaily maintain and update applications within the applicant tracking system.Correspond with hiring managers regarding open positions, closing positions and general review of applications.
Review staffing needs with hiring managers.Intake of Workers’ Compensation claims paperwork.Assists Employment/Compensation Manager with maintaining Workers’ Compensation records. Including updating reports.Answer general Workers ‘Compensation inquirers by managers.
Produces and submits general reports on Human Resources activity.
Maintain records of personnel-related data (turnover rates, open position report, daily activity report, etc.) within database ensuring accuracy of information.
Input data obtained from Personnel Action Notices (PANs) for New-Hires, Rehires, Reinstates, Position Changes, Wage Changes, Name & Address Changes.
Check staffing levels and pay rates on Compendium vs PAN informationUpdates employee records related to licensing and I-9 information.Consults with hiring managers regarding job descriptions and creates new property job descriptions.
Ensures staffing levels are correct by review of the property’s Compendium.Explain and distribute gaming requirements to applicable employees.
Scan all new hires, rehires, manually processed I-9’s, separations, counseling notices, supporting documents and all documents containing signaturesProcess Background investigation and Drug testing tasks as assignedUpdate job board postings as neededMaintain organization and cleanliness of the officeStrictly enforce the privacy and confidentiality of employees and limit requests for information about such employees in accordance property policiesMaintain electronic employee files.Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department.
Responsibilities/Qualifications:
Experience with applicant tracking systems.Working knowledge of all gaming requirements necessary.Communicate effectively in English both verbally and written form.Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality.Possess organizational skills to function effectively while meeting established deadlines.Strong attention to detail required.Excellent customer service.
Proven team player.
Must possess the ability to read and evaluate written material, maintain the physical & mental stamina to multi-task and meet targeted deadlines, access all areas of the facility, and maintain the manual dexterity to access the computer via computer keyboard and/or be seated at a computer monitor for extended periods of time.
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills when dealing with all business contacts, maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance and demeanor at all times.Bi-lingual helpful.
Ability to compile, research and analyze information.Knowledge of basic computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet.Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a Human Resources Generalist role.
Gaming & Hospitality industry experience preferred.
