The Ultimate Opportunity:
The Director, Operations will assist the Vice President, Performance in managing all aspects of business operations for the UFCPI in Las Vegas, whilst collaborating with the wider UFCPI team on critical global initiatives. This is a position of leadership, in which the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the effective functioning of day-to-day operations, directing business strategy, managing commercial business activities, managing facility operations and maintenance, coordinating external vendor partnerships, liaising with wider UFC departments internally, and any additional operational needs related to the successful functioning of UFCPI business activities. This role will work closely with both the domestic and global UFCPI teams to manage the efficient and effective delivery of all business operations.

Responsibilities:
Oversees the day-to-day operations and business activities of the UFCPI.
Develops and maintains third-party consultant relationships and forms strategic partnerships with industry leaders in business operations, strategy, and commercial enterprise.
Develops and implements support systems to aid in athlete and coach training logistics moving in and out of the facility.
Cultivates positive relationships with key stake holders, including UFC athletes, coaches, and gyms.
Establishes operational protocols and procedures.
Directs Operations staff and promotes operational functions as the foundation upon which performance services can be optimized.
Liaises with the MMA community to engage athletes and coaches to increase facility service utilization.
Establishes agreed-upon utilization targets and facilitates optimal utilization rates across all clienteles.
Directs facility management and coordinates maintenance requirements for the upkeep of facilities in collaboration with UFC Facilities Manager.
Performs on-going training with athletes, coaches, and UFCPI team members to ensure continued adherence to professional codes of conduct, COVID and/or other health & safety-related protocols, or any mandatory facility requirements.
Liaises with international colleagues to support the management and delivery of UFCPI global business initiatives.
Performs other tasks, projects, and responsibilities as directed by the VP, Performance to establish the standards of service and client care befitting a world-class performance facility.

Skills & Experience:
Graduate degree in business administration, operations, sports management, or a related field.
5+ years of high-level management experience in sports, events, or facility operations and/or administration.
Previous experience of leadership in an operational role in a high paced environment.
Experience managing a team of operations staff, including concierge, reception, or front desk services, facilities, and maintenance personnel.
Experience providing operational support to interdisciplinary service providers.
Experience managing budgets and recording inventory is required.
Experience directing business operations and logistics required.
Personal or professional experience in sport is preferred.
Understanding of MMA (i.e. the sport, local athletes/coaches/gyms, culture.) is preferred, but not required.
Marketing expertise or previous experience promoting business and commercial interests are preferred, but not required.
