The Homewood Suites by Hilton Steamboat Springs is seeking Assistant General Manager applicants. Hilton brand and OnQ experience preferred. Great growth opportunities as the company grows in Steamboat Springs. Wage commensurate with experience.
The Assistant General Manager is a leader and team-builder in the hotel – responsible for guest experience, associate engagement, financial performance, and revenue generation. The Assistant General Manager actively participates in operations – leads by example and inspects what he or she expects.
Leadership

Lead, through subordinate staff and in a hands-on fashion, the efficient administration of the Front Desk, Rooms, Housekeeping and Engineering functional areas to maximize financial performance; while upholding quality standards and maximizing levels of guest satisfaction.
Coach and develop teams to high performance

Guest Experience

Follow Brand and company standards and use best judgment to create experiences for guests that are thoughtful and genuine
Maximize the guest experience and uphold standards through Rooms, Housekeeping and Engineering
Utilize guest feedback to improve service delivery
Actively participate in sales presentations, property tours and customer meetings

Associate Engagement
ยท Create a productive and engaging work environment where all associates are valued

Develop and maintain rapport with key community contacts to ensure a visible presence in the community.
Be a leader and a role model to all employees.

Job Requirements
The Assistant General Manager is responsible for all aspects of the operation, including financial performance, operational and financial controls, ensuring optimal guest satisfaction scores, and developing and retaining strong associate team.
Qualified candidates will have at least two (2) years Hotel Assistant General Manager or Front Office Manager experience in full-service, or luxury limited service branded hotels.
Must have proven ability to identify revenue management and revenue enhancement opportunities and be skilled in sound fiscal management practices.
Excellent planning, organization, and guest services skills
Experience with Customer Requests and Guest Assistance
Demonstrate outstanding leadership and communication abilities
Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Excellent communication and leadership skills essential, as well as ability to motivate workforce at all levels.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Present a professional appearance and confident attitude.
Ability to manage and lead each department independently.
