The Human Resources Manager is a multi-faceted position involving full-spectrum HR and office management responsibilities. This is a big job focused on making HydraPak an awesome place to work. This person will have a significant impact on our team, culture, and long-term success. The Human Resources Manager reports to the CEO/President of HydraPak, but also works very closely with other members of the leadership team. Your goal is to help us earn an Outside Magazine Best Places to Work (or similar) designation.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
HR Management:

Recommends and assists in the development and implementation of the employee handbook, working directly with the President and senior management.
Operates as the hub of company communication, receiving and disseminating new and existing policies and benefits information:
Meets regularly with employees as issues and questions arise.
Resource for managers for performance evaluation and disciplinary actions.
Provides feedback to President on employee morale, potential brewing issues, and employee performance feedback.
Participates in salary and other HR surveys. Conducts annual salary equity review.
Leads OSHA requirements and other agency compliance.
Maintains company organization charts and employee directory, including a compliant employee database holding proper employment records and personnel files.
Attends seminars and other professional advancement opportunities to keep the company current on legal requirements and advancing in our employee relations.

Benefits Management:

Oversees all HydraPak benefits.
Creates and conducts annual open enrollment, plan enrollment/termination, and education, including researching and recommending insurance and benefit offerings.
Administers or arranges for administration of COBRA, HIPAA, and vendor invoice reconciliation.
Manages 401(k) administration and offerings.
Provides frequent communication to team members regarding available benefits and how to take advantage of them. Frequently acts as liaison between staff and benefits providers.

Recruitment and Retention:

Overseas company hiring process, including ensuring managers create accurate positions and description, provides input on salary levels, advising on or conducting placement of ads for recruitment process, conducting background checks and issuing offer letters.
Conduct training for managers in recruiting, hiring and onboarding.
Provide onboarding, new employee orientation and coordinates training.
Responsible for end-to-end recruitment efforts for select positions.

Office Management:

Lead our efforts to make our office as enjoyable, productive, and inspiring as it can be. As a key part of our People Team, you’ll think of creative ways to make HydraPak an awesome place to work.
Responsible for management of the building (including maintenance, alteration, and housekeeping of office areas and equipment, etc) and security (manage security system, access keys, phone system, etc.).
Monitor and maintain office supplies, drinks, snacks, and anything else needed.
Coordinates or participates in the planning of office activities (including annual party, employee social events, and wellness initiatives.)
Be a visible, active, social part of our company culture — someone everyone finds approachable and helpful.
Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or equivalent experience in lieu of degree required.
Minimum three years in human resources management and two years of general administrative experience required.
Solid understanding of federal and state employment regulations required.
Certification in Human Resources related areas and/or Spanish language skills are a bonus

Salary & BenefitsThis position is based in our Longmont, CO office. The typical work hours for this job are 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday. Pay range for this position is $­­­­70,000-$80,000 annually with up to 10% bonus potential. HydraPak offers up to 80 hours of Paid Time Off in the first year of service, 11 paid holidays, a range of insurance benefits starting the first of the month following a 30-day waiting period, and a 401(k) plan with company match after the first year.
