Wholesale Lending Services (WLS) is part of the JPMorgan Chase Commercial Bank providing lending servicing support to multiple business units across the firm and around the world. The Operation provides loan documentation; closing and funding; payment and fee processing; syndication loan trade processing; credit administration; collateral perfection and management, customer service and reporting; and construction management.
General Summary:
This Associate level incident management role will report to the Vice President of Incident Management and will be accountable for delivering a robust Incident Management function to meet the evolving needs of clients, business partners, risk and control leads, and operations heads. Recognizing the need to respond with speed, flexibility and urgency when operational incidents occur, the successful candidate will support the global Loan & Agency leadership team deliver and continuously improve a world class operating infrastructure. This newly created role will be responsible for assisting the Vice President in building out the team.
Key responsibilities:

Assist to build a highly skilled Incident Management function equipped to engage rapidly with internal business partners (Bankers, Deal Teams, Coverage, Legal), clients, external law firms and operations leaders to manage and coordinate resolution of issues emanating from the firm’s role as administrative agent
Design and deliver an Incident Management roadmap and overall risk-based operating framework that places effective communication, tracking, escalation and risk mitigation (operational, financial, legal, reputational) at its core
Real-time compilation and delivery of fact patterns, insights, data and analytics from a range of sources to provide clarity and transparency to internal business partners as quickly as possible
Lead post-mortem reviews and root-cause analysis workstreams in partnership with WLS leaders/teams (Production, Risk & Control, Transformation, Technology) and business partners
Drive a continuous improvement culture to strengthen procedures & processes and optimize the group’s operating model
Proactive assessment of potential/emerging risks and trends associated to the role of administrative agent in partnership with business partners and Risk & Control teams
Design playbooks to document protocols and procedures for specific situations and test playbook effectiveness through coordinating periodic simulation exercises
Represent WLS in various risk and/or control forums, business updates and executive management meetings to provide key updates, observations and recommendations
Develop a data-driven approach to improvement opportunity analysis; compile and present data to support business cases and gain senior stakeholder buy-in

Qualifications:

Exceptional communication skills; comfortable and credible presenting to senior leaders (up to Operating Committee level)
Natural ability for developing & cultivating strong and mutually beneficial working partnerships
5+ years’ syndicated loan experience preferred
Familiar with the inherent risks associated with the syndicated loan product
Strong analytical capabilities with a passion for root-cause analysis
Demonstrable success at transforming and/or building new operations teams/functions
Proven track record in thinking/acting strategically and globally to influence complex business decisions
Fosters a collaborative team environment within and across functional organizations
Results driven; proactive; ability to lead and drive execution; methodical approach to identifying and solving issues
