Reports To: Event Staff Supervisor
Location: North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre-Chula Vista
FLSA: Hourly / Seasonal / Non-Exempt

The Role:
This role will proactively interact with guests to provide information and assistance on all things related to the guest having an enjoyable experience at the venue.
Duties may include: scanning tickets at venue entrances, checking tickets and passes in reserved seating areas and at staff entrances, and assisting patrons with directions and information.
Job Functions:
Communicate venue information about policies and procedures to guests regarding permitted and non-permitted items as they prepare to enter the venue.
Assist with line control as guests enter venue, ensuring safe pathways and orderly venue entry.
Scan guest tickets at points of entry.
Check tickets and passes to ensure that guests are seated in the appropriate reserved seating areas.
Look for ways to proactively assist the guest to ensure they have an enjoyable experience.
Answer questions about common venue programs such as upgrades, purchasing fan merchandise, etc. Learn venue layout and all venue policies and procedures in order to best direct guests.
Provide guests with event-specific details such as artist meet & greet locations and other programs unique to a particular show.
Communicate with other departments to resolve guest questions and issues, always finding a resolution for the guest.
Direct restroom and concessions lines, as needed, to shorten guest waiting times.
Assist in resolving guest complaints.
Show CARE by participating in venue recycling efforts before, during and after the show.
Report maintenance and cleaning issues to the respective department manager.
Greet guests as they enter and leave the venue.
Always display a positive customer service attitude.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 2 years in Guest Service and communications
Outgoing personality
Creative thinker and problem solver with a proactive approach
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy
A strong-sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs
Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 lbs+ and occasional sitting
