We have full time, part time, day, and midnight shifts available on multiple units!https://careers.beaumont.org/GENERAL SUMMARY: The Clinical Assistant is a member of the staff who coordinates aspects of patient care by managing communication and clerical tasks essential to the functioning of the unit. In addition to communication and clerical tasks, she/he monitors and stocks supplies. The Clinical Assistant also provides patient care and related functions as delegated by and under the direction of a registered nurse.ESSENTIAL DUTIES: · Provide patient care assignments as delegated by and under the direction of a registered nurse.· Clerical/manages supplies/equipment in designated care areas.· Provides care to the patient according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy. Documents in electronic medical record.· Acts as a receptionist and organizes daily work assignment based on unit priorities· Organizes daily work assignments based on unit priorities.STANDARD REQUIREMENTS: · Supports the Mission, Value and Vision of Beaumont Health (BH). Supports and participates with all required compliance standards that may be department specific and/or identified by the organizations including in-service training, acceptable attendance, uniform and dress code.· Adheres to HIPAA requirements and maintains confidentiality of all data, including patient/resident, employee and operations information.· Supports and participates in a collaborative team-oriented environment – cooperates and works together with all co-workers, plans and completes job duties, uses appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situations and follows up as appropriate regarding reported complaints, problems and concerns.· Supports, cooperates with and demonstrates safe work practices and attitudes, follows safety rules – including universal precautions – reports and prevents/corrects unsafe conditions and behaviors, and participates in organizational and departmental safety programs.· Completes all required compliance standards that may be department specific and/or identified by the organization.· Maintains current licensure, registration and/or certification, as applicable, at all times.STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS: Education / Training: · High school diploma or GED equivalent.Work Experience: · Completion of nursing assistant program and/or one year of nursing assistant experience preferred.Certification, Licensure, Registration: · AHA BLS Healthcare Provider required within 6 months of employment.· Nursing Assistant certification preferred.WORKING CONDITIONS: · Physical Effort: o Extensive bending and lifting.
