Job Description : Position Title: Administrative Assistant for Athletics DepartmentPurpose of Position: Performs clerical/secretarial duties in support of the Athletics DepartmentClassification: Administrative AssistantEducation: High School Graduate; Bachelor’s Degree preferredSupervision Received: General Supervision; reports to the Athletic DirectorSupervision Exercised: May coordinate activities of student employeesWork Schedule: Full-time; 11 month position; Monday – Friday, evening and weekend work requiredFLSA Classification: Non-ExemptExample of Duties: The successful candidate will:Serve as a point of contact for all day-to-day and administrative issues in the Athletics DepartmentPerform administrative and office support including answering phones, making copies, greeting/directing students and visitors, filing/scanning documents, and responding to email inquiriesPrepare documents, spreadsheets and reports as neededMaintain inventory of office supplies and ordersProcess purchase requisition requests and requests for reimbursement from athletic teamsAssist in budget management activitiesPerform other duties as assignedMinimum requirements: High School Diploma and 1-3 years of relevant work experienceBasic computer skills including email usageProficiency in Microsoft Office software suite, especially Excel and WordMust be detail-oriented and have a demonstrated ability for accuracy in record keepingAbility to communicate effectively in person and over the phone in a high traffic environment maintaining a focus on providing excellent customer serviceAbility to multi-task and prioritize work, sometimes with frequent interruptionsMust be able to perform duties within the normal bounds of an office environment including sitting for long periods of time.The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Desired Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferredExperience working in higher education and in a small college setting preferredKnowledge of Adrian College policies and proceduresWorking knowledge of GoogleDocs and Blackbaud Software a plusPrevious experience supporting an athletic departmentInterested individuals should submit a cover letter, resume, job application (found on the Adrian College website), and salary requirements to Meg Sharp, Senior Women Administrator.Applications will be accepted and reviewed until the position is filledAdrian College is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
