Role and Responsibilities
Build and maintain solutions for AEM Sites and Assets.
Use Agile methodology, participate in sprint ceremonies, provide accurate estimates for assigned development stories, and ensure timely delivery.
Follow best and recommended practices while implementing solutions.
Ensure code quality, readability, maintainability, and security.
Coordinate with multiple teams like UI or QA for any dependencies.
Write JUnit test cases for Unit Testing.
Create low-level design documentation.
Effectively communicate requirements to the customer teams.
Manage customer expectations of response time and issue resolution.
Troubleshoot and reproduce technical problems reported by customers and define workarounds.
Create and integrate content-driven applications on top of the AEM platform, integrating with other systems.
Skills and Experience
Mandatory 2-3 years of experience in AEM, its latest features and foundational concepts, including the CRX repository, the AEM platform, the use of core frameworks such as Apache Sling and Apache Felix.
Good understanding of UI technologies like JQuery, JavaScript, HTML 5, and CSS.
Knowledge of Java, Java EE, Servlets, JSP, Tag libraries, and JSTL, combined with good knowledge of enterprise Java frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate is desirable.
Prior work experience in CI/CD pipelines like Maven and Jenkins.
Hands-on knowledge of code quality and security tools like SonarQube.
Thorough understanding of Touch UI, Sightly (HTL), and Sling models.
Prior experience in AEM backend development like Sling Servlets, OSGiv Components, and JCR Queries.
Solid experience in problem analysis and resolution of technical problems.
Able to manage clients professionally during all interfaces.
Comfortable extending hours to coordinate with onshore colleagues.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Prior experience in developing distributed applications and internet/intranet-based database.
