Job Description : We are transforming our platform and have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and talented AEM Engineer to join our rapidly expanding Agile ecommerce team.
As an experienced AEM Engineer you will have a deep understanding of how AEM works technically and also how business users interact with it. You will have a passion for software development and an excellent understanding of how to define and deliver solutions iteratively and collaboratively within AEM. You should be used to coaching other members of the team to up skill them with AEM knowledge. You will be confident in challenging business requirements to ensure you are continuously delivering the best possible outcome, harnessing innovation and driving adoption of new technologies to deliver business value. Your vision and ambition will contribute to shaping our online technology roadmap, influencing our future technical direction and balancing passion with precision to deliver exceptional online service and solutions for our customers.
The team’s primary task is to develop and maintain a customised Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) sites instance alongside a (JSON & React) content rendering service built on a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) architecture. You’ll work closely with the Digital Asset Management team who build and maintain the Assets side of the shared AEM Instance.
Requirements
As a Front-end developer, you will be expected to use Javascript (ES6) using the latest React best coding practices.
You will Implement all new code using functional react components and use react hooks,
Converting class-based components into the newer functional components along the way
You will fully unit test your code and aim for 100% coverage, and have experience in using Jest and Enzyme or similar.
The team will maintain and modify custom server-side rendering JS code
You will be expected to practice and promote Agile/Lean principles.
Promote best practice software engineering principles and have a deep understanding of operability and risk mitigation in a retail environment.

Key required skillsExperienced in customisation of AEM 6.x SitesStrong experience in building front-end services and applicationsFirm understanding of performant & accessible design principlesSpecific Expertise in React.js, JSON, Rest, Git, SCSSMust be able to write high-quality, resilient and secure unit-tested code that is easy to read

Desirable skills:Some knowledge and experience in building and maintaining a service built on Cloud infrastructure ie GCPExperience in maintaining automated Build and test pipelinesExperience in iterative / Agile Development lifecycle and lean engineering principlesOnline Retail experience
