Process Overview*
The COREIT team of Market Application production support provides end-to-end technology solutions for applications supporting the Compliance, Operation Risk and Enterprise Independent Testing (EIT).
The team is engaged in over 150+ applications for Production Support & related activities. GBAMT’s type of work and services include architecture, design, development, change management, implementation and support using a wide range of technologies. The APS India team provides extensive support of these applications by adapting the ITIL processes.
Job Description*
The Production Support Analyst is responsible for ensuring availability and reliability of assigned production applications within a line of business (LOBs) of Global Financial Crimes and Compliance. To perform this function, the Production Support Analyst performs daily tasks assigned by the Production Support Lead. These tasks are aligned to the key services outlined within the Global Support Services Service Catalog:
Monitoring
Incident Management
Problem Management
Request Management
Disaster Recovery / Application Recovery Certification Exercise
Metrics Reporting
Responsibilities*
Manage highly critical applications – support BAU and ensure no business impact
Initiate the incident management process & lead triage when BAU is impacted.
Track the root cause of all problem tickets raised in the space and validate the permanent resolutions.
Hands-on Subject Matter Expertise for multiple high Tier / UCAL applications
Timely adherence to all deliverables
Mentor / guide team members on issues/queries and other deliverables
Perform data compliance and quality review of all the incidents & problems
Provide regular communication & generate reports to all the stake holders
Revisit the existing process & need to provide inputs for improving the same
Identify risk and drive remediations – ensure any day audit ready situation for the team
Lead multiple initiatives
Disaster recovery test coordination, preparation, and execution
Great team player with positive intent and attitude towards work
Requirements*
Education: Degree from a reputed university
Certifications If Any: ITIL (Not Mandatory)
Experience Range: 4 to 8 years
Foundational skills
Extensive knowledge on UNIX, Oracle, Informatica, Hadoop, ITRS & Autosys.
Minimum 3 years of strong experience in the UNIX, Oracle and Informatica.
Excellent communication & Interpersonal relationship development skills – verbal & writing skills.
Deeper understanding of Incident & Problem Management processes
Able to lead and triage issues to closure
Desired skills
Good understanding of financial/banking industry
Willing to be flexible sometimes with providing stand-by out of hours support on rotational basis for production system (as needed)
Ability to operate in high-pressure situations
Results oriented, and must be able to effectively interact with Senior Management and Business Partners
