Job Description
You’ll join Xplor Education and our Product Engineering team — the team that provides the support and expertise educators need to manage their centres smoothly, improve parent engagement, and deliver the best educational experience, so that they can focus on what really matters – helping children succeed.
Reporting into the Technical Lead, you’ll help us create visually appealing assets that function seamlessly and feature user-friendly design and clear logical navigation flows that are safe, secure and fast. Some of the other responsibilities you’ll have:
Work with the dedicated mobile team to ensure projects are delivered on time, and to best practice & quality guidelines including code reviews, unit testing and other techniques
Work across both Android and iOS app development
Take a proactive, hands on, and collaborative approach in all sprints and tasks
Regular exposure to business stakeholders and executive management, as well as the authority and scope to apply expertise to many interesting technical problems
The position requires constant communication with colleagues
The developer will participate in the entire application lifecycle right from concept stage until delivery and post launch support

Qualifications
What would make me a good candidate?
Proficiency with Kotlin
Strong experience with common Android/Google libraries
Experience with Android build system and Gradle
Knowledge of Kotlin multi-platform projects is a plus
Testing best practices such as unit testing, automation
Familiarity with standard developer tools such as Git, CI (experience with BitRise and jFrog is a plus ) etc.
Proven experience in planning and publishing mobile apps used across multiple user groups and organizational units.
The developer must have a strong understanding of UI/UX, particularly native mobile application design as well as web based mobile first design.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative work style
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively and work with team members in different time-zones
Ability to mentor and guide junior developers
