Job Description : We are looking to recruit a motivated, enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our hard working and well established finance team as an Assistant Accountant.

The Assistant Accountant role is a key role with the broader finance team and operates within a team of Assistant Accountants supporting the functioning and delivery of the whole finance department outputs. Each Assistant Accountant will have clear responsibilities aligned to one or more of the areas of responsibility.

Periodically team members will be given the opportunity to rotate around the areas of responsibility, aimed at providing personal development and exposure to the wide range of finance activities, whilst supporting sustainability and cover across the department. This aligns to the requirement to work collectively as a team, supporting one another to deliver the key results areas.

To provide support to the finance department with the provision of timely and accurate financial information with the ultimate aim of helping deliver high quality and safe patient care and making the Trust a great place to work. The role is part of a team of Assistant Accountants. Specific duties will be agreed within the team and will change on a periodic basis at the discretion of the line managers and in conjunction with the Assistant Accountants. The Assistant Accountant team as a whole covers the following areas of responsibilities;

Financial Accounts

Management Accounts

Income

Costing
