Position Title: Associate Manufacturing
Department: Manufacturing (MSG)
Shift: 8Hrs, 6am-6am (1/2/3 shifts) Weekly Rotation Basis
Job Summary:
Set up and operate NC & CNC machines. Must be able to use measuring equipment and instruments and stay within specified tolerances. Must have ability to maintain production rates and read complex manufacturing drawings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a 100% safe manner and Adhere to and follow all company safety policies and procedures to assure commitment to a 100% safe work environment.
Read manufacturing drawings.
Set up machine to manufacture parts.
Modify programs in response to problems.
Load CNC program and adjust for basic level programming changes.
Understand & selection of tool geometries for operations.
Manufacture machine parts to specified tolerances.
Make machine adjustments when necessary.
Complete all necessary documentation, electronic data entries, and communications accurately and timely.
Understand written instructions and be willing and able to communicate those instructions to others.
Read process instructions and drawings and recognize/attend to details.
Move all materials, either physically or mechanically, necessary to complete assignments.
Perform inspection of machined products by selecting and setting up precision gaging to ensure external and internal quality specifications and requirements.
Support the Lean Enterprise initiatives and continuously strive to improve customer satisfaction through improved quality, reduction in waste and improved productivity.
Perform in a flexible schedules and adaptive manner toward team objectives and the goals of the company.
Applies experience and skills to complete assigned work within own area of expertise.
Ensuring highest level machine up times in the respective shifts.
Education and Experience:
Diploma in Mechanical engineering or Tool & Die Making.
Apprenticeship program of completion preferred.
Manufacturing experience of 1 – 3 years.
Basic Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Basic troubleshooting and situational decision-making skills.
CNC programming (G Codes) and ESPRIT or Master CAM usage knowledge.
AutoCAD & Solid Works usage.
MS Excel basic knowledge.
Knowledge on Manufacturing Part drawings and understanding to details.
Knowledge of shop math. In process basic Engg Calculations.
Interpersonal skills with good communication working in a team environment.
VMC, HMC and Surface Grinding operations knowledge.
Intermediate knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) methods of dimensioning, as well as proper use and care of precision measurement tools.
Has working knowledge and skills to perform a defined set of analytical/scientific methods or operational processes.
