Job Description : Overview
We are recruiting for an Azure Integration Developer to join our Field and Operational Platforms team within Group IT. As our integration specialist, you will design and deliver distributed cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure which support the development and growth across Amey through innovative technology & data enabled solutions.

As our Azure Integration Developer your focus will initially be on rebuilding interfaces following the move from legacy software, whilst ensuring that Azure integrates fully with the software used across our client contracts; including in the mobilisation of new contracts across our three business units, which may require new solutions.

We are open to this being a hybrid working role (based on 1-2 days in our Liverpool office) or remote working.
What will this role involve?

Developing system integrations using Microsoft Azure Integration Services to connect a mixture of on-premises, SaaS and cloud-hosted applications
Developing APIs and web services to support process automation and application integration
Exposing APIs and web services to clients and other third parties securely
Collaborating with Amey’s Architecture team to develop best practices and methodologies
Developing work plans and technical documents covering technical design, integration, testing, and implementation
Communicating effectively with a wide range of stakeholders including developers, architects and business owners, to achieve a shared delivery plan
Keeping abreast of changes in the technology market to understand the opportunities with and risks from emerging IT changes
Applying cloud (Azure/AWS) computing skills to deploy upgrades and fixes
What are we looking for?

Experience in a similar role
Strong development experience of using Logic Apps / Azure Functions/ Web Apps / API Management (APIM)
Database design (SQL Server) / writing Stored Procedures /SQL Queries
Security: Authorisation/Authentication
Key Vault / Storage Accounts
Experience working with XML/JSON
Experience in writing technical design documents
Experience of interface mapping specifications
Experience working in an Agile, fast-paced, DevOps environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Understanding of the requirements for delivering using both an on-premise and externally managed hosting environments
Ability to plan and estimate resources and costs appropriately for systems delivery
