Job Description : We are recruiting for Backend Developer to join our new and expanding Employer branding agency where you will work remotely as part of a fantastic remote team:
Salary: £50,000
Monday to Friday 8:45am – 5:30pm

As a Backend Developer, you will join the digital operations team where you will work on client’s career sites to support websites platforms with trouble shooting issues and providing website fixes .
You will take ownership of developing & supporting live websites, you will work in collaboration with the team of Front-end developers & Designers to ensure clients platforms are always functional . Using your exception problem solving skills to support & overcome critical issues , and element of out of hours working may be required for this role.
Ideally you will be an Experienced Back-end developer , educated to degree level, have solid working knowledge of .NET framework/ Umbraco, developing ASP.NET & excellent working knowledge of HTML5 & CSS. Solid understanding of integrating web-services & JavaScript or AngularJS
Backend Developer Role will involve:
Troubleshoot and fix bugs/flaws within live websites and applications
Assist in critical support issues out of hours when called upon
Efficiently manage your workload and accurately record your time
Keep up to date with best practice in web development and suggest new processes , tools and technologies
Communicate effectively with our support desk team to help them keep clients up to date
Patch and upgrade Umbraco CMS to the latest version when required.
Backend Developer skills & Experience:
Previous web development experience
Decent knowledge of .NET Framework / Umbraco
Experience with developing ASP.NET MVC
Good working knowledge of HTML5/CSS
Experience of using Microsoft Visual Studio
JavaScript experience (AngularJS)
Experience of integrating with web-services (WCF / SOAP / WEB API / REST) (desirable)
Basic knowledge of SQL and databases (desirable)
