Job Description : Job Background/context:
At least 10 -12 years of Application development experience through full lifecyclePrior experience on building solutions on Big Data platforms.Thorough knowledge and hands on experience in Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Sqoop and other technologies in Cloudera’s CDH distribution.Experience with Red Hat Linux and UNIX Bash Shell Scripting.Capable of performance tuning on Hadoop platform.Strong knowledge and experience of Python and PySpark;.
Knowledge on any one programming language Python/Scala/Java is prefe
Key Responsibilities:
The right candidate will be expected to be a key team player in the solution development & deployment shouldering the following responsibilities:
1. Contribute to full development life cycle, including: requirements analysis, functional design, technical design, programming, testing, documentation, implementation, and on-going technical support
2. Analyse functional specifications and write technical design and code
3. Develop queries for data profiling and data quality assessment.
4. Write scripts to package and deploy the code
5. Perform builds and deployments in SDLC environments
6. Perform unit and system integration testing.
7. Support User Acceptance testing and provide defect fixes
8. Perform quick POCs to evaluate technical solutions
9. Should be able to take full ownership and responsibilities of assigned tasks independently
10. Ability and willingness to learn newer tools and technologies in Big data arena and successfully deliver projects utilizing the same.
Skills:
Mandatory Skills:
Strong experience in Hadoop, Hive, SQL, Spark with solid understanding of ETL/Data PipelinesStrong knowledge/experience in Python, PySpark preferredGood Experience in Unix Shell ScriptingAutosys job scheduler
Desirable Skills:
Predictive analyticsCloudAML domain knowledge
Other skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (in science, computers, information technology or engineering)Candidate should be willing to work late in the evening India time on need basis in order to interact with US onshore team and to meet urgent requests by Clients.Team player collaborating with the team members to solve complex problems and deliver best in class solutions as a teamAbility to articulate thoughts and ideas effectively within the team.Act as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts;Strong influencing & interpersonal skills.
