Do work that matters

You will be a visionary leader but also hands-on, facilitating the creation of this venture’s products to deliver on our mission to help families improve the financial capability of their children.
Your role includes responsibility for:
Product strategy, vision and growth
User research and product design
Setting the direction and ensuring the quality, creativity and delivery of the design team
You will work closely with the Managing Director, Chief Marketing & Brand Officer, Chief Risk & Operations Officer, Chief Technology Officer and the Card Product Manager to create a product that parents, children and community love.
Reporting to the Managing Director, New Venture, you will have 1 UX/UI and a Product Owner reporting to you, with possibility to scale as the venture grows.
Key responsibilities
Product Strategy and Roadmap
Lead the development of the product vision and strategy/roadmap, by considering customer needs, macro trends, business priorities, and the competitive landscape
Work with our brand & content lead to drive product growth
Monitor product metrics for the digital app(s) and web (e.g active users, engagement, retention) and use this to inform the product roadmap
Set direction and provide guidance to the design team, to
Manage and lead the design process end-to-end
Ensure a regular cadence with customers to ensure our product roadmap is customer-informed
Produce user flows, wireframes, design prototypes, and design specifications
Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually
Work closely with development teams to ensure that design specifications are implemented.
We are interested to hear from people who have
Extensive experience in product strategy and design for digital products in a B2C context
A strong customer-focus, strategic thinking and commercial acumen to make sound decisions
Experience within a start-up & lean environment – ability to move quickly will be essential
Ability to direct, mentor and inspire teams but as comfortable in a role as an individual contributor
Interest/experience in fintech and/or education
