We are looking to appoint a 0.5WTE Band 7 Clinical Lead Dietitian to support the creation of a brand new Tier 3 CREW clinic Obesity Management Service for the Children and Young People of Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire.
This post will be to manage the Nottinghamshire clinics, and you will be part of an established children’s dietetic team based in the Nottingham Children’s Hospital at the QMC campus of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.
You will work alongside an experienced MDT and you will have close links with the 0.5 WTE Band 7 Dietitian that will be employed to support the Leicestershire patients. There will be an expectation that the two posts will support each other and cross cover virtually when operationally necessary.
Working days will be Thursday and Friday and a half day Tuesday afternoon to support clinics and MDT working.

You will be an expert clinical advisor within obesity and will provide assessment and advice/treatment to Children, Young people and their families who attend the East Midlands CREW Clinics.
You will provide education and training and will liaise closely with the wider multi-disciplinary team.
You will work alongside the Leicestershire Dietitian to identify, develop and provide innovative new ways to address obesity among our young population. As such, service evaluation will be a key element to allow the team to showcase the success of the service.

The Nottingham Children’s Hospital (NCH) is based at the Queens Medical Centre campus and is part of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH). We provide In-patient and out-patient care for children up to the age of 19 years old.
With 97 beds, we care for around 40,000 children each year from Nottinghamshire and beyond, treating a full range of conditions, including planned and emergency treatment and surgery, Burns and Plastics, Neurological conditions, Oncology, Paediatric critical care, Renal conditions and transplantation, and Spinal and Orthopaedic care.
The Children’s Therapy team at NCH is a friendly and supportive department who work closely alongside the wider MDT, providing excellent evidence based care and innovative ways of working.
Throughout NUH we have a diverse range of AHP and support staff who work together to deliver the high quality care we aspire to supported by our Chief AHP to lead us on our strategic direction.

Salary: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.

The system will provide us with an outcome of your check which will be stored securely on your personal file along with all other pre-employment check documentation.
Consent:
Transfer of information: If I have previous NHS service – I consent to the transfer of my Electronic Staff Record (ESR) data between this and other NHS Trusts. I also consent to the Occupational Health Department confidentially accessing my occupational health records from my current or previous employer in order to check the status of my vaccinations, immunisations s and screening tests as relevant to the post. I understand this is an automated process and the information will only be used for these purposes prior to me taking up the position at NUH.
Disclosure and Barring Service: Your post maybe subject to a DBS check which incur a cost dependent on the level of check required (£45 for enhanced and £28 for standard). I agree to reimburse Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust the cost of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check if it is required (by deduction from first month’s pay).
