The Platform Services group is responsible for defining, developing and operating cloud products consumed by our Application Development Partners across the firm. Our Product Portfolio includes Private and Public Cloud Platforms and a wide range of services such as databases, messaging and telemetry.
Application Integration and Streaming (AIS) product line in platform services enables integration across apps by providing capabilities to communicate either by moving data in the form of events, files or streams or by APIs. As a Kafka infrastructure developer you will work as part of the Kafka Product Engineering team in Application Integration & Streaming product line.
This is an opportunity for a highly motivated Infrastructure developer to join Streaming products team that owns and manages JPMC’s streaming platform in hybrid cloud environment. You will contribute to building the core capabilities for data streaming, pipelines and data mesh using cloud native and open source technologies like Kafka, AWS MSK, Kafka connect, KStreams, etc.
Must have skills & qualifications:

Expertise in designing and developing Enterprise level J2EE applications.
Expertise in Sprint-boot, Hibernate, Java 11, Oracle/Postgres/Mysql.
Strong command over Unix and maven.
Experience in building automation using REST APIs in Java/Python
Experience in designing and building secure Kafka platform at enterprise scale
Experience with development and continuous deployment in an agile work environment using CI-CD tools like Jenkins.
Able to solve complex problems using dynamically scalable infrastructure products based solutions
Strong communication and collaboration skills to be able to work within and across team to drive integrations in hybrid-cloud environment.

Good to Have Skills:

Experience in designing & developing products/platforms on AWS. Cloud certifications are a bonus.
Hands on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
Strong understanding for streaming and stream processing use cases.
Experience in monitoring and visualizing tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana.
Working knowledge of networking – VPCs, Transit Gateways, firewalls, load balancers, etc.
Experience in Python (Fast API) is an advantage.
