Job Description
Consumer and Community Bank is embarking on a large scale transformation journey of building a next gen Cloud Native Core Banking Platform. This platform will be the system of record for different financial products globally. We aim to automate deployments from inception to production. The team will be focus on optimizing how apps are designed for the future, targeting solutions that are resilient, scalable and maintainable. We will drive Modern Engineering Practices across the firm and provide the pathway for technologist to improve their speed, quality and application development practices.
We are looking for a Software Engineer who will lead one team focused on delivering cloud native solutions on AWS.
Required Skills :
Strong technical background, ideally with experience working with distributed systems.
Experienced with relational databases (Postgres) and ideally NewSQL databases (CockroachDB).
Experience in streaming and message queueing systems (Kafka or other Queueing technologies).
Experience with Kubernetes and Istio.
Architecture patterns. Must have a firm grasp of established patterns in architecture, such as stability patterns / anti-patterns, event-based architecture, CQRS and process orchestration. Should be familiar with the CAP theorem and understand various levels of consistency such as linearizability vs serializability. Should be familiar with established and emerging approaches for achieving high availability and disaster recovery, including running systems across multi AZ, multi region and multi cloud vendor environments.
Experience with core AWS services including developing and implementing solutions on AWS
Advanced-level implementation skills with Java, Core Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
Understanding and experience with AWS five pillars of a well-architected framework
Experience of designing and building Web Services and RESTful APIs at scale
Thorough understanding of software development methodology DevSecOps
Core experience in Agile methodologies and SDLC
