An exciting opportunity for a Cyber Security Analyst specialises in Data Protection to support and maintain the platform and process across the company. You are familiar with regulatory compliance and information security management frameworks such as IS027000, COBIT, NIST. You will play an integral part in building a strong security risk-aware culture, delivering great outcomes for our customers and growing your career rapidly as a Cyber Security Professional.
What you’re going to be doing:
While you should be able to work across all aspects of the Digital Bank (including deposit and lending products) your primary focus will include:
Requirements analysis and developing a strong understanding of data governance frameworks.
Evaluate and provide recommendations on Data Loss Prevention (including CASB, Proxy) platforms following an assessment of our current state.
Manage and maintain the data classification/data labelling scheme.
Define rules for structured and unstructured data to ensure appropriate detection, monitoring and automated handling of alerts in place.
Define alerts and incident response workflows for any exceptions.
Create processes and documentation for ongoing administration and maintenance of the platform.
Investigate non-compliant systems, recommend remediation steps, and support remediation activities.
Analyse security breaches and other security related incidents to identify root causes and ensure systems changes are identified and assessed while escalating potential breaches.
Continually review and improve the security function by identifying possible improvements, identifying new techniques, and developing automation to mitigate security risks and incidents efficiently.
Apply threat intelligence and other information sources to identify events/risks relevant to us and integrate this into existing security processes for targeted remediation.
Contribute to various projects and support the Head of Security in the delivery of the cybersecurity roadmap in accordance with timeframes and budget.
Producing metrics reporting the state of security posture.
Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and relevant APRA Prudential Standards
Ensure preparedness for future regulatory developments
What you’ll need to bring:
Ideally 1-2 years relevant experience in cyber security
In-depth understanding of Data Protection concepts, processes, policies, and procedures
Good understanding of Rights management, CASB, network/endpoint proxy and Data Loss Prevention
Technical experience using and implementing a Data Loss Prevention platform including defining rules, workflows, and ongoing maintenance of the platforms.
Extensive knowledge in technologies such as Microsoft AZURE, Cloud App, Microsoft 365 Defender, Compliance Manager, Information Protection.
Experience with and knowledge of security principles, techniques, technologies, threat modelling and vulnerability assessment.
Preferred relevant security certifications (CISSP, GIAC, Security+, CEH etc).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
Written, verbal and presentation communication skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment handling multiple priorities.
Relationship skills and collaborative style to enable success across multiple partners.
Documentation, planning, negotiation, work prioritization and organizational skills.
This stuff is essential:

Pragmatic approach to security rather than “by-the-book”
Ability to conceptualise and think creatively
Passionate about Cyber security
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cyber or related discipline
This stuff is nice to have:
Understanding of relevant APRA standards
