What is the Data Management Team group responsible for?
The Data Management Team manages business data to ensure accurate, timely, consistent and compliant data. Their contributions deliver quality data that is easily accessible and can be trusted. Key downstream capabilities such as reporting and analytics depend on this as well as operational data access on various systems. This is a technology function that acts as an advocate and a point of contact for Sales and Marketing data within Global Advisory Services division. It is expected that all members within the team have a sense of operational excellence and a sense for details to ensure timeliness and accuracy in handling data. Team members must have a mature disposition, be personable, and work well within teams across time zones.
What is the Data Analyst responsible for?
Data is critical and a competitive differentiator in our industry, especially for Global Advisory Services (GAS). A well thought through enterprise-wide data ecosystem is an urgent need, and the ability includes the need for the intelligence derived from this data to be operationalized for better decision making across distribution. The Data Analyst is responsible to:
Leverage understanding of business to proactively reach out to sales teams and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with business and technical teams to develop and maintain data processes Understand and be able to clearly articulate the dataflow model to others. Be able to “connect the dots,” and determine the impact to Franklin Templeton. Run more complex reports and manage change requests with little to no assistance. Provide ideas to improve data quality. Participate in QA testing of Data ecosystem for ongoing support and new project initiatives Identify areas where Data services could add value. Work with senior members of the team to share ideas with business partners.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of Data Analyst?
Provide support for data issues and data maintenance of GAS data.
Verify and execute data loads into our internal sales systems and ensure any downstream systems accurately receive their data.
Document, maintain and execute ongoing processes for data clean-up and metadata maintenance.
Implement a framework for data quality, accuracy, and governance for the entire ecosystem, ensuring confident downstream usage.
Developing and maintaining various data load processes for receiving, reviewing and loading files into the sales systems. Collaborating with internal teams and external contacts to identify owners, establish an ongoing process, and document procedures.
Support the enhancement and enrichment of master data.
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
Four-year bachelor’s degree required (majors of preference include: IT and allied specializations) MBA degree a plus.
4+ years of experience in Data Analysis, with atleast 1 year in the financial industry
Expert knowledge of the SQL, Excel, Data Analysis, and industry standard toolsets to maintain and support ongoing maintenance of data pipelines. Knowledge of Automation tools, a plus
Ability to take a larger dataset and break down for detailed data analysis; identify how to go about solving the data life cycle process.
Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate within and outside the team
Shift Work Timing – 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM IST
