We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Delivery Head
Principal responsibilities
Set the technical direction across Channels for the development engineering and tooling, in conjunction with partners in Channels and across the broader organisation. Leverage best practice
Cloud Migration Strategy and Execution
Further embed Agile and DevOps practices across our development pods
Drive automation via the adoption of the CD/CI toolchain across our platforms
Ensure we have metrics to allow us to measure productivity and areas of improvement across our development pods.
Leverage best practice across the group and externally to increase capability and productivity
Build and manage relationships across HSBC Operations Services and Technology, RBWM IT and other business groups on an ongoing basis
Work in conjunction with Architecture, Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering to ensure seamless delivery and integrated technical strategies
Ensure all risk controls are fully in place and adhere to HSBC standards

Up to date knowledge and practical experience of various programing languages, frameworks, cloud services, toolkits and methodologies
Strong track record in delivering complex software products, ideally within financial services, digital or regulatory environments
Extensive experience in large and diverse technology / business environments – broad understanding of end to end architecture
Provide technical thought leadership in how to improve and transform development engineering within Channels IT
Proven experience of Cloud Migration Strategy and Execution
Strong understanding of Agile and DevOps ways of working (ideally with qualification)
Passion for technology and understanding how things work, actively keeps themselves up to date
Excellent written and spoken communication skills with experience of successfully influencing others, negotiating effectively and winning over audiences with compelling and persuasive presentations
Built effective networks both internally and externally and created opportunities for others to work collaboratively
Ability to work across geographies, understanding the diversity and bringing people together
Proactive approach in driving actions forward
Ability to challenge decisions appropriately
