Introduction:
As a Lead Data Analyst, you will pioneer/support delivery of innovative use cases, bringing together the Data Product and Data Science, both newly created and on an exciting development journey within BUK.
The role will support use cases across the business areas and will be responsible for managing and building out key Data Products, taking accountability for existing products as well as designing and implementing both the tactical and longer term strategic end to end (E2E) product lifecycle roadmaps. You will also act as an interface between business and technology by understanding business requirements, converting it into functional/technology specs.
You will also act as a Data Enabler for ML use cases as well as any insights generation task
The individual would need to gain a good data understanding of all the source systems so as to support any downstream Use-Case/MI/Reporting requirements.
What will you be doing?
Liaise with business clients/Stakeholders to help shape initial ideas into firm system requirements, ensuring that they are sufficiently comprehensive and detailed to support effective system development.
Produce system technical designs for small and medium changes, engaging, directing and collaborating with other internal and supplier teams as required delivering the E2E solution.
Provide estimates & impact assessments for small / medium complexity engineering work.
Maintain system designs, ensuring quality and integrity throughout the various phases of the software development lifecycle.
Review test strategies to guarantee the quality of the delivered system, assist in the diagnosis of system problems encountered during testing.
Assist in the resolution of live incidents and system problems as and when required.

What we’re looking for:
Graduate with preferred specialisation in IT, Mathematics with relevant work experience or satisfying the relevant skills (above).
Relevant work experience in some or all of the skills below

Technical skills

Experience of requirements analysis and functional design.
Strong knowledge of full stack product designing along with Hadoop/Spark, ETL, Data modelling, ApaaS skills.
Data Warehousing and Modelling experience for designing application based solutions
End-to-end software development lifecycle and methodologies (e.g. Waterfall, Agile).
Cloud/Machine language knowledge would be added advantage.
Soft Skills
Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders and convert abstract ideas into actionable requirements
Ability to work with ambiguous situations and uncertainty
Out of the box thinking to solve real world problems
Should be able to juggle between multiple priorities efficiently
Ability to encourage and inspire team to help realise their potential, providing knowledge and guidance to all team members as required.
Work collaboratively with teams across different geographic locations and contribute to Machine Learning capability.
Good presentation skills – Should be able to present findings and insights in a manner understandable to business.

Skills that will help you in the role:
Graduate with preferred specialisation in IT
Exposure to Banking and Finance domains, as well as technology within banking/finance.
Awareness of management information tools and systems.
Governance and compliance policies, standards, and procedures required to fulfil role e.g. LCP Onboarding
Able to solve problems with data and to understand relevance to the wider objective.
Experience of requirements analysis and functional design.
