Job Description : Fixed-term ContractOur 2022 Summer School will operate from 3rd July to 14th August.Felsted is a leading day and boarding independent school based in a stunning village campus in North Essex. Founded in 1564 by Richard Lord Riche, who had been a Lord Chancellor under King Edward VI, Felsted today provides an exceptional holistic education to approximately 1100 boys and girls aged four to eighteen. We celebrated our 450th anniversary in 2014, one of only a handful of Schools in the country that have claimed this historic milestone. We employ more than 160 teachers and 440 operational staff in a community orientated environment, ensuring our pupils receive the very best in learning and co-curricular activities.Our International Summer School ran online in 2020 and 2021, but we are excited to be back onsite for our 9th year. Operating during the School Summer Holidays for six weeks, the programme offers students a wide range of academic, sporting and cultural opportunities for c.350 students aged 8-17 from all continents over the world. To run our successful and well-established programme, we need creative, enthusiastic and well qualified staff to work with us.For our 2022 programme we require a suitably qualified Drama Teacher to work with our junior students. The role involves the planning and delivery of a Drama Academy to the junior campus International Summer School students, aged between 8 and 11. The course aims to help each student achieve their individual best to gain specific subject knowledge whilst encouraging full student participation and learner independence.This is a part time, fixed-term role between 4th July and 29th July 2022. Inductions will be held virtually from 30th June to 2nd July.We are rated ‘Excellent in every aspect’ by the Independent Schools Inspectorate.The closing date for receipt of applications is Friday 18th March 2022.
