IT System Administration – Journey
The Economic Services Administration (ESA), Division of Child Support, is looking to hire an Enterprise Desktop Administrator.
Within the IT Support group, your work will involve Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) Administration, Microsoft Active Directory administration, Microsoft Intune administration, Microsoft Application Virtualization (App-V) administration, technology consultation, systems administration, technology innovation, and end-user support of the division’s end-user environment to include desktops, laptops, thin clients and mobile device systems. You’ll collaborate with other team members and business units regarding the integration of the end-user systems with infrastructure, email, remote access, document management systems, and custom applications.
You’ll use your IT knowledge and utilize advanced tools to monitor and control the division’s 1,700 workstations and 100+ mobile devices in headquarters, field offices, and remote Washington State Prosecutor’s Offices. You’ll assist with the evaluation of complex technical proposals and requirements for the Division of Child Support and the counties’ highly technical application development and infrastructure implementations.
Some of what you’ll do
Manage application life-cycles, asset inventories, desktop software, operating system updates, and client device compliance
Implement software patch update processes
Maintain division desktop image and security updates configured to the most productive outcome for end-users
Provide end-user consultation to business units and teams, implement hardware and software solutions, implement multi-server/multi-vendor applications integrated with thick and thin client solutions
Document desktop support processes for troubleshooting software platforms of end-user operating environments
Integrate complex solutions into new and existing client environments using diagnostic, analytical, and designed capabilities
Provide Tier 3 technical support in managing hardware and software issues
Active Directory test environment maintenance; develop, test, and implement user and system based group policies to control the end-user computing environment using Microsoft management consoles
Who should apply
Professionals with a bachelor’s degree that includes 9 semester or 15 quarter hours of computer science courses and 5 years of experience analyzing, installing, and/or maintaining computer software applications, hardware, or telecommunications or network infrastructure equipment or providing customer or technical support in information technology. (Additional qualifying experience will substitute for the required education on a basis of one year of experience for two years of education.)
Three years of experience serving as an SCCM or Active Directory administrator that includes Tier 2 and 3 level duties (e.g. application deployments, collection management, task sequences).
Two years of experience installing, creating images, maintaining, upgrading, securing, and troubleshooting Windows 10 operating system.
Two years of experience creating, maintaining, testing, and troubleshooting Microsoft Group Policy Objects.
Desired
One year of experience with a Mobile Device Management or Unified Endpoint Management solution such as Intune or MaaS360.
One year of experience building and executing PowerShell and Command Shell scripts.
Information Technology Infrastructure Library® (ITIL) Foundations Certification.
