Core ResponsibilitiesIndependently and together with peers drive initiatives aimed at expanding The LEGO Group’s business in Emerging MarketsWork with key partners cross-functionally and across local, regional and global levels of the org to coordinate, shape and collect the right inputs, as well as to ensure agreement for initiativesConduct analysis to feed into business case preparationCreate well-structured presentations and materials, which enable decision-makers to quickly digest and engage with subjects that are often complex in natureCreate detailed implementation plans to support smooth transition into executionLook for opportunities to optimize processes and document examples of standard methodology to ensure repeatability and longer-term capability building for emerging markets

This role is centrally located in the global Markets & Channels organization as part of Market and Commercial Development (MCD) which is a distributed team working across our B2B Market Groups and D2C LEGO Retail unit with a directive to optimize commercial momentum, support Group-wide commercial strategies and drive commercial insights and capability building in how we activate our brand and go to market.
The key activity for the team is to support the LEGO Groups strategic ambition to expand consumer reach and grow our business across emerging markets. The emerging markets development team is responsible for market prioritization, progress of the market portfolio along the development pipeline and engaging with Emerging Markets themselves to drive business growth, create business cases and develop expansion initiatives.
Do you have what it takes?Experience developing market growth plans in consumer/retail businesses and/or working at a top tier consulting firm/in-house strategy teamAbility to develop robust project plans and lead project workstreams, particularly related to market entry / growth strategy / commercial business plans and/or sales and marketing strategiesA global perspective and ability to work and collaborate with international teams and navigate cultural nuancesExcellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, including with senior leadersHigh degree of financial and analytical competenceHighly competent in Excel and PowerPointAn entrepreneurial spirit, able to operate with imperfect information and comfortable balancing risk/rewardExposure to/interest in Emerging markets in particular Middle East and/or Latin America
