Position Summary
The Event Management CoE Event Manager is to manage the entire life cycle of an event by providing theme conceptualization, event planning and management, coordinating creative designs & communication collaterals and post event activities, working with other CoEs as required
The successful candidate will be required to understand and manage stakeholder expectations and Events CoE team by building relationship and collaborating closely within the customer, Events CoE team and other EY functions.
This will include:
Support in the project management of various events carried out internally and with different GDS CoE functions
Liaise with the GDS leadership & Stakeholder group
Challenge and review performance against requirements and targets
Take responsibility for strategy alignment, overall administrative decision making
Take accountability for overall service delivery and adoption of new working model
Effectively manage the business to manage utilization and costs
Manage and grow the service in line with the customer expectation and demands
Counsellor and enabler for the regional events team managed by the events TL
Service delivery and reporting
Motivate the Team Leads, Process Champions and Associates to achieve Operational Excellence
Promote collaboration, teaming, upskilling and cross training among the employees
Anticipate challenges and establish the best workflow for seamless operation
Keep the communication channels active with biweekly/monthly stakeholder discussions
Create strategies to develop and refine current existing scope of service and align right skillset
Develop, implement and monitor strategies for the professional growth of direct and indirect counselees
Partner with various GDS teams to enhance ways of collaborating and bundling of services
Share and recommend best practices in other service lines
Establish and manage SOP, Process Documents, SLA and governance structure for various processes
Continuous evaluation of processes based on customer feedback, surveys and analysis
Explore areas to provide established support to new and existing customers
Create a positive environment for employees, stakeholders and management
Technical Skills/Tools Requirement
Essential
Application/Tools: Microsoft Office tools, CRM, SharePoint, emarketing & SAP
Knowledge on virtual event platforms like ON24, MS Teams
Experience in marketing automation tool Marketo
Experience in supporting a professional services and/or global organization
Desirable
Any certifications especially related to e-marketing, automation or management

Ability to quickly build knowledge about the EY business, particularly the key priorities, structure, internal and external audience, core offerings and our clients’ issues and agendas across sectors and geographies globally.
Manage multiple programs under tight deadlines and maintain attention to detail
Outstanding written and oral communications, a generous aptitude to learn the organisation’s pattern of communication and our client’s motivation
Proven ability to manage complex processes and/or projects at a global level. High level of networking, team building and stakeholder management skills
Advanced knowledge in MS Office suit, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint, data visualisation and intermediate knowledge of automation
Foster a culture of collaboration and teaming
Ability to bridge any gap between the stakeholder expectations and the GDS capabilities.
Develop and apply creative solutions to complex issues. Assert own ideas, gain support and commitment from executive level stakeholders and mobilize others to act
Gather stakeholder feedback to generate meaningful, actionable information that helps drive change and event improvements
8+ years of total event management experience in professional services or similar industries
Sunday – Thursday working week (MENA Region) with Friday/Saturday off
