Job Description : A position has arisen for an excellent Finance Manager join an internationally recognised faith-based institution in Central London. The post holder will produce statutory accounts, head up gift aid, and lead the income function for the Charity. They will be managing a team of 5 Income Finance Officers and will be reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance.
Job responsibilities include:
Regularly review income processes (including donations, investments, legacies etc) to ensure the Charity’s processes are fully compliant with existing trust and charity law and donor wishes
Ensure the Income Team of 5 is properly trained, adequately engaged and works to challenging but achievable targets
Prepare the statutory financial statements for specific departments and manage audit
Manage and act as the main contact for the Gift Aid Bureau service, ensuring a high degree of customer service and effectively deal with any issues
Manage the financial and treasury management aspects of the Charity’s main funds and associated bank accounts ensuring liquidity and prompt investment of all surplus funds
Ensure that all control accounts are reconciled each month and any reconciling items are resolved
Keep abreast of legislation, including HMRC regulations
Key requirements:
ACCA / CIMA / ACA Qualified Accountant (E)
Accounting experience in the Charity sector (E)
Knowledge of FRS 102, SORP, Gift Aid (E)
Strong finance system skills (E)
