Job Description : Job Title: Finance ManagerResponsible To: DirectorsAbout UsWe are a leading, privately owned Main Building Contractor based in Leicestershire and undertake works across the healthcare, commercial and education sectors.We are looking for a Finance Manager who will report to the Directors, you will take ownership of the day to day running of the accounts team, managing direct reports, producing quarterly management reports and head up the annual audit. You will also oversee the payroll function of the business.We offer an attractive salary and package, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension scheme, laptop, and phone.Key Duties / Responsibilities: Responsible for safeguarding the resources and assets of M&O Group, maintaining an effective system of operations and control.Oversee the end-to-end finance operations, ensuring all deadlines are met, this includes ensuring the purchase ledger and sales ledger functions are completed satisfactorilyWeekly/Biweekly reporting of sales tracker and aged debtors to the boardAd-hoc analysis and reporting where requiredOwnership of an effective payroll functionPreparation of the annual financial budgets and reforecasting throughout the yearCash-flow management and forecastingManagement of company bank accounts and credit cardsBank reconciliationsPayment and control of corporation taxQuarterly VAT reportingPayment and reporting of PAYE/CISQuarterly management account journals, accruals, prepayments, payroll reconciliation, fixed assets controlOversee the quarterly WIP postings for the projects and work closely with the Commercial Manager to reconcile the projects to the P&LProduction of quarterly management accounts including P&L and Balance Sheets – analysis of variances to budget and prior year. Highlighting opportunities to improve business performance.Control of the company’s commercial insurances, vehicle insurance, fuel contract and utility contracts, liaising with brokers and carry out analysis for renewals.Lead role in the annual audit undertaken by our external accountantsTo be an inspiring role model, leader and manager providing effective line management whilst maintaining a positive cultureSubsidiary Duties / Responsibilities: Ensure policies and procedures are in place so that M&O Group is compliant in all aspects of financial policy, including statutory requirements, regulatory best practice, and the development of new initiatives.Advise and keep the Board up to date on the financial aspects of their work and the financial implications of proposals and decisions.Provide financial leadership to the organisation as part of planned growth and development, ensuring that business plans and development opportunities are effectively resourced and funded.Act positively on recommendations from external auditors and other advisors to improve financial and other internal controls.Lead the accounts team to continually look to improve processes, identifying what is required and implementing changes.Any other duties which may be reasonably required from time to time, and which are commensurate with the post.RequirementsCIMA/ACCA qualifiedExperience working within an SMEExperience of team leadershipExcellent IT skills, particularly advanced excel user (Look ups, If formulas etc)Confident communicatorExcellent time management and organisational skillsKnowledge of the construction industry is preferred but not essentialAccuracy, analytical skills, confidentialityRemunerationAttractive salary up to £50,000 per annum (dependant on experience)25 days holiday plus bank holidaysPensionLaptop and phoneJob Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: Up to £50,000.00 per yearSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to Friday
