Job Description : A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a financial accountant role within the finance team of a fast paced retail and online clothing business. The business is a central London based office and a hub of talented people who are creative and innovative. The finance team are pivotal in the progression of the business.
Responsibilities:
Assisting the Finance Manager with the month end close process
Maintaining and posting relevant journals for Accruals and Prepayments
Maintaining and posting relevant journals for Accrued and Deferred income
Completing balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
Posting and reallocation of monthly head office costs and explaining variances to budget
Working with Accounts Payable to ensure all credit card costs have been posted correctly
Working together with the stock accountant to ensure all stock related entries are posted
Supporting the Finance Manager and Financial Controller with the half year and year end process
Roll forward of all Balance Sheet files and prepare actuals for Finance Manager review
Preparing the month end accounts pack for Finance Manager review
Assisting the Finance Manager with posting any ad hoc P&L postings
Preparing the VAT reconciliations and return submissions for Finance Manager review
Monthly reconciliation of all tax accounts for Finance Manager review
Assisting the Finance Manager with Group Taxation requirements
Assisting the Finance Manager with accounting reporting to group
Assisting the Finance Manager with ONS reporting
Ad hoc analysis as required by the Finance Manager
Reconciliation and settlement of intercompany accounts
Posting Intercompany invoices
ONS reporting as required by the Finance Manager
About you:
Part-qualified accountant with 2+ years of experience in a finance team
Ideally has experience of a retail business with multi-channel trading (online, retail, wholesale)
Highly organized with strong communication skills
Enthusiastic team player with a proactive problem-solving attitude
Charismatic person who is happy to get involved with the team
