We will be moving to our new*What exactly will you be doing?*Website development and maintenanceBe an effective member of a progressive web team and share its responsibility to ensure that the AATwebsite is an accurate, up to date and engaging resource and means of communication.Collaborate with business, technical and management teams on front-end design, UX and UI, and front-end development.Translate ideas, designs and concepts into user interface mock-ups and then on to functional websites or web apps.Proactively maintain and develop the AAT website, and its supporting infrastructure technologies.Adhere to and champion best practices in JavaScript, Typescript, HTML5, Angular framework and progressive CSS using BEM and other related technologies whilst integrating it with the AAT web platform.Develop Front End application interfaces using frameworks including Angular and AAT Fabric Drupal theming (minimal).Actively share and transfer knowledge with the Online Development Team through collaborative working and documentation of tasks undertaken on the web wiki.Be enthusiastic in developing knowledge and understanding through both interactions with Online Development Team colleagues and the ability to self-teach.Champion mobile first thinking and approaches to front-end development and design.With the Online Development Team ensure that updates, developments and other site changes are delivered effectively within agreed timescales.Provide technical support and advice to colleagues, and users if appropriate, on online service functionality.Self-manage workloads through effective time management and prioritisation of tasks, using available tools from Atlassian products (JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence).Internal relationsCommunicate changes and developments on the website to colleagues as appropriate.Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues.Manage colleagues’ expectations of the website by delivering an appropriate level of understanding and appreciation of website dynamics, technology and limitations.Attend relevant cross-divisional groups or working parties either in direct relevance to the role or as a learning and development opportunity as agreed with line AAT is a registered charity.
