Join at an early stage and help evolve a product democratising 1:1 coaching.
Tech stack: JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node, Vue, AWS, PostgreSQL/MongoDB.
We’re helping a Bristol based tech-for-good start-up to find a Full Stack Developer to join their team on a fully remote basis. The company have created a web-based coaching service, with the goal of making coaching affordable and accessible to everyone. Coaching is often expensive, perceived as a luxury, and largely only accessible to those already at the top. This company are looking to change that – they passionately believe all employees (from intern to CEO!) should have access to coaching due to its transformational learning and development benefits. The platform first began as a service to support key workers during the pandemic, offering a space to share feelings, overcome obstacles and build resilience. The results were hugely positive, so they decided to roll the platform out further to help more people. And they haven’t looked back since! They are now working with a diverse range of businesses and charities globally, including Nike, Converse, Hello Fresh, Minor Figures and Friends of the Earth.
The skills we’re looking for:
Some commercial experience within agile / tech start-up environments.
Experience of most of the following concepts/technologies:
JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node and Vue.
GraphQL.
MongoDB or PostgreSQL.
AWS.
Someone who is keen to deliver maintainable code and useable product, but with the pragmatism required in a start-up environment.
Empathetic, a good listener, and enthusiasm for positive change and the tech-for-good space.
Keen to develop your skills, keep on top of new tech and trends.
Bonus points for…
Any knowledge of 3rd party integrations such as calendar or appointment booking software, marketplaces, apps, subscription management software.
What you’ll be doing:
They are building a new platform, so you’ll be joining at an exciting time where you’ll help influence and shape the technical vision and work on new features. You will work closely with the Lead Developer as the company brings the product in-house. Everyone will play a part in designing the product, and you’ll be supported and encouraged to share your ideas – it’s an environment where new input is welcomed. In addition, you will solve technical issues and develop code, liaising with the Product Manager and wider team to better understand customer needs.
