Job Description : Overview / Responsibilities:

Wood is currently recruiting for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our Vibration, Dynamics and Noise (VDN) team based in our Melbourne office and reports to the Team Leader. Wood has unique world class engineering capability in the fields of Vibration, Dynamics and Noise (VDN)
Candidates applying for this role will be available immediately. Please note this role is part of our two year Graduate Development Program.
This role will be ideal for you if:
you like technical challenges solving complex vibration, pulsation, machinery performance and related problems
you want to develop your engineering skills and practical design experience in vibration, static equipment and structures and rotating equipment
you want to be part of a worldwide team of experts that share your interest in solving design challenges
you are keen to travel to client facilities in sometimes remote locations to perform complex and challenging work
you are an enthusiastic learner keen to work with a variety of customers and cultures

We demonstrate technical excellence in resolving the causes and effects of vibration in static equipment, structures and machinery providing engineering solutions and services improving the integrity and performance of our clients’ facilities.

What you can do well:

Strong IT and data interrogation skills
Coding experience (Python, VBA, others) and Machine Learning skills are advantageous
MS Power App, Power BI experience would be well regarded
Capacity to learn and pro-actively seek and provide feedback
Good understanding of the benefits of respecting and appreciating what makes people different
