Our Services Technology Strategy team is on a continuing mission to develop and facilitate the implementation of the cohesive technology direction for our future – driving unrivalled quality outcomes for our customers. To do this, we are looking for a new Head of Software Development to lead the end-to-end technology strategy for our software development capability.
It’s a big job!
Here’s just some of what you’ll do:
Use your deep knowledge of the software development, strong personal brand, and tech credentials to engage, inspire, and drive our software development community as ‘the face’ of Purple software development both internally and externally.
Build and nurture strong, fruitful relationships with our Purple Preferred Partners and key vendors (e.g., Apple, Microsoft, and AWS) to ensure suitability, performance, and go-to-market collaboration.
Provide internal community leadership to 130+ developers across Australia, by providing direction, education, and clarity – focussing your efforts our growth targets of App Modernisation, Cross Reality (XR), DevSecOps, IoT, Native Mobile, and Power Platform.
Identify, consult-with, and assess the technical aspects of potential M&A targets in alignment with the strategic direction of Purple, Telstra, and the market.
Collaborate with the Heads of Design, Cloud, Networks, Security, and Modern Workplace, to develop and deliver cross-functional strategic initiatives combining multiple capabilities.
