Job Description : We currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed teacher of Health and Social Care for day time classes. This is a long-term role, therefore a commitment and until the end of the academic year is expected.The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Health and Social Care subjects and planning interesting lessons that will engage and challenge students. You will join a small, enthusiastic team who are committed to helping individuals develop their potential and succeed in their aspirations.Relevant experience in the field is required as is the ability to engage different learners using a range of teaching resources.Key Skills and Responsibilities:· Commitment to excellence in teaching and learning· Work collaboratively with the Principal to deliver a high-quality learning experiences to students· Excellent subject knowledge and experience of planning for progression· Effective lesson planning and delivery which meets individual needs using innovative methods· Experience of teaching Post 16 learners· Responsibility for marking and assessing students work· Adherence to all college policies, including those related to safeguarding and pupil safety· Attendance to college Open Days / Meet and Greet students· Undertake other various responsibilities as directed by the Principal· Forward thinking and excellent communication skills· Adaptability· Confidence· Organisation· Commitment· CollaborationQualifications: · Post-16 experience essential· Recognised level 3 teaching qualification (PTLLS or equivalent / above).· First degree/Higher degree/Certificate in Learning and Teaching will be considered.· Assessing qualification (D32/D33/A1/TAQA Level 3)· Experience of delivering Functional Skills (Maths and English) to a minimum of level 2· Hold NVQ level 2 or above in Health and Social Care or professional qualification in social work· Detailed understanding of UK social work policy and practiceExperience in UK ClassroomUK DBS (within last 3 Years)Job Types: Part-time, FreelanceSalary: £13.00-£15.00 per hourSchedule:No weekendsEducation:Bachelor’s (required)Experience:teaching: 1 year (required)assessor: 1 year (required)Licence/Certification:Assessor Qualification D23/33 (or equivalent) (preferred)Application deadline: 09/03/2022Expected start date: 14/03/2022
